Baby Oatmeal and Banana

Baby oatmeal and banana is one of my favorite stage one baby food recipes. It’s great for babies, toddlers, big kids, and grown-ups.

Print

Baby Oatmeal and Banana

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup baby oatmeal
  • 1 cup water
  • dash cinnamon optional
  • 1-3 tbsp breast milk or formula optional

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat.  Add the baby oatmeal, stir, reduce heat to low and cover. Let sit until all the water is absorbed, about 10 mins. Add a water, breastmilk or formula to thin the oatmeal and add extra nutrition, if desired.

  2. While the oatmeal is cooking, blend the banana in your Sage Baby Puree & Blend food processor.

  3. Remove the blade from your food processor bowl, add the cooked oatmeal to the banana and mix well. Add a dash of cinnamon, if desired.

Recipe Notes

  • Use organic ingredients whenever possible.
  • For babies 4 months and up.
  • Banana oatmeal will stay fresh in your Sage Jars for up to 3 days in the fridge and 3 months in the freezer. Some discoloration of the banana is normal and won't affect the taste.
